          What makes someone truly successful in a home based business? Is it their work ethic? The company they’re with? The way that they market? How many hours they work?

 

          The answer? It’s all of the above!

 

          One of the most important pieces of the puzzle however is really easy and can be a whole lot of fun if you let it. Setting goals.

 

          Let’s face it, starting your own home based business isn’t a walk in the park it’s a big commitment and unless you have something to drive you every single day you might not be as successful as you could be.

 

          By setting your goals in stone from the very beginning you will have that extra little push, that motivation to work even when you don’t want to, and to push yourself that much harder because you see the light at the end of the tunnel and it looks GOOD!

         

          Whether you are new to working from home or have been in your business for a while it is extremely important that you know your goals and have them written out for you to look at whenever you need that extra push. Also, having your goals in your head isn’t enough you need to have them written out.

 

          The best way to start with your goals is to look at the short term. That means looking at the next 6-12 months and writing out everything that you want to accomplish in that time frame.

 

          Some of your short term goals should be monetary and others should be more personal. Things like taking a short trip with your son, or buying your daughter that bike she’s been wanting can sometimes give you more drive than just writing down a dollar amount ever could.

 

          Would you like to quit your job? Write down the exact date on the calendar when you want that to happen and look at it every day. As that date gets closer and closer it will drive you to work harder and be more persistent and that will push your business over the top!

 

          After you’ve written out your short term goals you’ll want to write out your long term goals. Make them BIG, make them BOLD and above everything else make them YOU!

 

          We all have things that we want to do with our lives but as life goes on we slowly push them to the back burner and eventually they’re gone all together.

 

          When you’re writing out your long term goals really dig deep, think about the things you want to do but have forgotten about, and write them all down and the date you want to accomplish them. It can be anything from making $100,000 a year to taking a trip around the world to buying your childhood dream car… WHATEVER as long as they are personal and real to you that’s all that matters.

 

          After you have written all of your goals out it is often helpful to give yourself something more visual to look at every day. Look online and find pictures that represent the things that you want and the goals you want to accomplish.

 

          Find a picture of your dream house or take a picture of your family on vacation… whatever motivates you and put those images somewhere were you can see them every day like a refrigerator, by your desk or on your bathroom mirror.  The location doesn’t matter as long as it’s a place you will be sure to see it every day.

 

          This might seem silly but trust me it will be the thing that keeps you going and keeps you motivated when nothing else will.

 

          By doing all of these things you will have a clear view of what your goals are in your home based business and knowing WHAT you’re doing is nowhere near as important as knowing WHY you’re doing it!

Why Not Choose Network Marketing?

          So, you’ve decided you want to start working from home but you’re not really sure how to go about it? There are a ton of reasons why so many people crave the freedom of making money from home.

 

          One reason is of course money, when you work from home you control your income. You work hard, you get paid… you work harder, you get paid MORE! It’s a beautiful thing!           The final reason so many people choose to build their businesses with network marketing is, there is already a structure and system in place. Network marketing companies are successful for the same reason McDonalds is successful. They can teach you to follow a simple system and if you follow the system you’ll get great results.

 

          Yes, you COULD decide to start your own business from the ground up. However, the problem with that is that there isn’t already a system in place for you. Maybe you’ll succeed and maybe you won’t. When you find the right network marketing company for you your results are guaranteed! Just look at the successful people, follow their path to success and you’ll find it for yourself. Why try and re-invent the wheel? Having Brain Surgery.

I had brain surgery on Oct. 10 & 17 for Parkinson’s disease. I was nervous to say the least. Anytime you have surgery for anything it’s cause to be nervous, let alone having Brain Surgery. The recuperation time is about 6 weeks. That’s time I can do one of 2 things. Either just lie around and sleep or work from home.

 

My wife & I have a home based business. I do have to lay down for awhile when I get tired. I still have the tremor and that makes me tired, but I still take the time to work at home.

 

That’s the great thing that about having a home based business. You can work anytime you want to. Recuperating from surgery is a good time to work if you are up to it. I also work in the evenings and on the weekends.

 

I want to replace my current income as a welder at a boat plant. I like the people I work with but I can still keep in touch with them. I want to retire ASAP. I figure I can go see them when I want to.

 

Being successful at home was always something I’ve wanted to do, but every home based business I’ve tried, was never a real HOME based business. I was told I need to go out and put up fliers, and hand out brochures and talk to everything that didn’t move.

 

I quit those “Home Based Businesses” because I was told I wasn’t doing enough or I had to buy products and then sell them to others. Also I didn’t think that going out to put up those fliers and brochures was actually working from “HOME.”

 

I never thought I would find a real home business but I was wrong. After looking and looking for about 6 months we did find a business that was completely different than anything I had ever experienced before. In fact when I had the surgery, he and his wife drove from Dallas, Texas to Kansas City, Mo. and they were there at the Hospital when I went in to surgery.

They were there the entire time. When I was taken to my room after being in the recovery room, they were there. They were there because they could be.

 

In this home based business you can work anywhere, as long as you have a laptop, an internet connection and a phone. This is a real home business. You can work anywhere, and wherever you are that’s home for the short time you are there. I can’t tell you how much it mean’s to me to have them there.

 

They are true friends and they really love other people. They want to help others because of where they were a few years ago. They were facing bankruptcy, foreclosure and he actually applied for food stamps because he was unemployed for a year and a half.

 

His wife had to go out and get a job and she hated to leave her kids to go to work. He finally found a home business that made them a lot of money. His wife could quit her job, come back home and be a full time mom again.
